Simon uses bright colous and bold imagery to create handcrafted cards, purses,
cushions, pictures and canvases. Through the use of freehand machine embroidery and
oil pastel he draws images that are reminiscent of his travels around Austrailia, America and
Japan.
Simon studied at Staffordshire university and acheived a 2:1 degree in design:surface pattern.
He has since gone on to manage two retail outlets and become well known for his creative work.
Some of Simon's commisions include The Common Wealth Games, Viviene Westwood (cow
parade) , Arts Council, Arts in Business, Crosby Homes, Worcestershire County Council, Manchester
Art Gallery and Imperial Tobacco - amongst many others.
Simon's work has been published in a variety of magazines including The Big Issue, The Metro,
The Guardian and The Evening Standard. He has also featured in various TV programmes.
